When Gilbert kept quiet, Raven dipped his head down, curling up into a tight ball. He felt like that bottle he kept closed up and locked away tightly was beginning to break and crack away. Something he’s kept in for so long, he felt like he was breaking down and he just couldn’t hold it in his ribs anymore.

When he finally heard the man shift away from him, Raven slowly became less tense, but his shoulders still trembled violently. When he heard the quiet voice of the vampire, the noirette let out a shaky breath. He wanted to be alone right now, if he couldn’t have his family, he wanted to be alone. His family was all he needed.

When he didn’t hear his bedroom door shut, the young boy sniffled, slowly dragging himself out of the bed. “Just…leave me alone…” He pleaded. He stumbled over to the old wooden door and he pushed it shut. His slim shoulders wracked and Raven’s turquoise optics squeezed shut. “Please just go away…” He whispered, voice cracking as he spoke.
The small Englishman walked back over to the small bed and he crawled back into it, and under all the covers. He put his face into his hands and he let out a choked sobs. He’s held these tears in since he was a child, and now, he just can’t anymore. Instead, the noirette sobbed, his small frame trembling. He’d keep this up until his body in this weakened state finally caved and he passed out.

As soon as he left the room he retired to his own room, picking up where he left off in the only book he had about illnesses. He read on until he heard the sniffling coming from Raven’s bedroom. Guilt tugged at him, deciding to ignore the sobs in the other room ( he probably would of made it even worse than he already did ). He proceeded to read until an hour or two rolled around when the cries had finally stopped.

By that time, he’s already finished the book & his memory on treating illnesses have been restored. Still, he’s never seen a human get this bad with a simple flu… He considered it abnormal to be so sick but nevertheless, it was a typical flu. Easy to cure once he knew how to treat it again.

With his home finally silent, he took the opportunity in leaving his bedroom & very quietly opening the door to check up on Raven to make sure the boy hadn’t done anything stupid to himself ( he’s had the experience before of those types of humans ).  Much to his relief, the youth was still alive but he seemed to of cried himself to sleep. A little pathetic… but also a little depressing to know. He left the room to fetch Raven a glass of water, gently placing it on the nightstand, then taking the rag that was now off the other’s forehead ( which he assumed had fallen off ) & dampened it again only to put it back on his head.

With all this, he tries to keep as quiet as possible ( something he’s pretty good at after centuries of practice ) in order to not cause for the other to stir & wake up, probably scream at him again & have the whole scene repeat itself… Gilbert leaves once he feels what he’s done was enough, closing the door behind him & went to prepare food for whenever Raven decided to wake up.
