He didn’t need to know a damn thing about vampires, he never encountered one and he never had to deal with one. That’s all that mattered. So long as he kept clear from them, and kept his family safe, that’s all he cared about. But now, now it’s all gone to shit and his family, as much as he hate to say it, didn’t matter anymore. All he could do was pray for their safety and that they’re making it all right.
Raven frowned at hearing his “master’s” voice. “You haven’t really given me a reason as to why I should…” He whispered. “The only reason I’m so pissed with you is because you took the only thing I ever cared about and the only thing that ever mattered to me.” He grit his teeth and clenched at his shoulders. “I know that life isn’t fair, I’ve known that since I was ten…but the last thing I ever wanted was to be taken from family.”The least he could have done was to have the privilege to see his family.
He grit his teeth and bit down on his lip. He hated Gilbert, but he hated himself more for not putting up more of a fight. Now, he’s stuck here, and he’s stuck here being sick, with a vampire who’s ignorant to influenza. “I don’t want it…” He whispered, his voice trembling. “Please, I just…don’t want it. You really…don’t know what you’re doing anyways, so don’t bother with soup.”
Typically, he could give no fucks for the raven haired. But it did bother him in a way, hearing what’s been said. He doesn’t snip back anymore. He doesn’t try any harder. Now, he’s kept to himself. Masking raw new feelings with a sullen visage, he shouldn’t let nothing but a meek human get to him. Their lifespans are only so long. It’s never bothered him before ( up until now ).
Gilbert lets the room remain silent, golden optics only stare at the sweating face of his ‘companion’ before finally turning away. His voice breaking the tense silence that filled the room. “Fine,” it’s obvious his care isn’t wanted. & Gilbert won’t be the one to force it ( despite the fact Raven does need care in order to recover ). The two barely know each other & perhaps they both just need time.
It’s always hard at the beginning of things whenever he’s gotten himself an acquaintance. They’re always so alert, so rude, so many things that doesn’t make this one’s behavior any different than the rest. It’s a routine: take an unfortunate soul, put up with their hysteric behavior, let them tire out & then he’ll gradually put in effort in making them feel at him. Not wasting another minute, he takes his leave in silence, closing the door only half way. From there, he’ll wait for Raven to ( hopefully ) doze off.

personality: gilbert is a reserved man, an introvert at its best. however, gilbert can be stern. he does have the tendency to lose his temper with people who give him back talk or are just blatantly disrespectul. he's humble, observant, courageous and clumsy. Gilbert is prone to be sarcastic yet he's easy to embarrass. he has the tendency to become worried, stressed & overwhelmed easily. he's certainly not the type to lie to people that he knows well. Gilbert's also very cautious with the people he meets. Gilbert is strongly protective of people that he holds dear.
Beneath his dark facades which apparently possess a mysterious air, Gilbert is also rather high-spirited and social around those who have been with him long enough. He takes interest in arts from stories to paintings. He's loyal, tenacious, optimistic. He's supportive of his friends around him, especially to the ones that are like family to him.
