“My mouth acted before my hand could, excuse me.” Raven huffed loudly and rolled his eyes. “Exactly, you can’t even make up a piss poor excuse for yourself. There is no difference and you know it.” Raven grunted at the pillow being shoved under his head and he brushed his bangs away from his sweat-stained face.
“I’d control my temper if you weren’t being such a big baby over me being sick. Should have picked someone else then instead of me, yeah? Instead the pathetic sick slave I am.” He threw the pillow at the raven again as he was ignored and once it hit the door with a smack, Raven groaned once more, retreating to his blankets to hopefully gain warmth. He wasn’t particularly allergic to anything that his mother or he found out when she was alive, call it luck for his immune system be it high like that, but it was such a curse when it came to him being sick.
In all honesty, there wasn’t a piss-poor excuse as to what Gilbert was going to say. There is sometimes a difference when a person is ill. & he chose to spare the whole explanation about it. He’s a slave, after all. What would he know about vampires? The roles felt completely switched in this case, Gilbert being the one choosing to bite his tongue. He can’t win against a stubborn asshole.
He’s been silent for a long time, even after hearing the mortal snapping at him. Picking up the pillow once again, he returns to the side of the bed, tucking the pillow under his head for the second time before finally saying in a low tone: “I’ve never had to take care of someone up until now. The least you could do is try to be patient with me on this.” he wants to help. There’s vampires out there who are convinced once their slave falls ill, they should be executed. There’s vampires out there who treat their slaves like animals still even if they’re sick.
He could be that brutal. He could do so many things that could make Raven hate him ( more than he already does if he already hates him ). He doesn’t think Raven would exactly care, but at least Gilbert knew a thing or two about mercy. “Now stay in bed & don’t hack up a lung while I fetch you some soup or whatever it is sick people take…”

personality: gilbert is a reserved man, an introvert at its best. however, gilbert can be stern. he does have the tendency to lose his temper with people who give him back talk or are just blatantly disrespectul. he's humble, observant, courageous and clumsy. Gilbert is prone to be sarcastic yet he's easy to embarrass. he has the tendency to become worried, stressed & overwhelmed easily. he's certainly not the type to lie to people that he knows well. Gilbert's also very cautious with the people he meets. Gilbert is strongly protective of people that he holds dear.
Beneath his dark facades which apparently possess a mysterious air, Gilbert is also rather high-spirited and social around those who have been with him long enough. He takes interest in arts from stories to paintings. He's loyal, tenacious, optimistic. He's supportive of his friends around him, especially to the ones that are like family to him.
