people are allowed to be exclusive on their own blogs.
people are allowed to be selective on their own blogs.
people are allowed to be private on their own blogs.
it’s about being comfortable on their own blogs.
but another thing that people seem to be afraid to say…
there are writers that are better than others.
there are portrayals that are better than others.
there are people who are more ‘quality’ than others.
if someone doesn’t want to write with you…
whether it’s because they already write with a version of your muse
or they don’t like your portrayal or your writing or they don’t like you…
that’s their prerogative because it’s not your blog.
get over it, move on.
ok - I agree. I agree with the first part.
People are allowed to do what they want to do on their blogs.

And, yeah, if someone doesn’t want to play with you, then accept that and move on.
You’ll more than likely find other people who will play with you. It may take a while.
But tumblr has all kinds - and it isn’t even always about liking someone—-
I think that’s my main problem with this post - that and the second part entirely.
Yes, there are writers who are technically better and there are writers who
spend hours and hours researching their characters and there are writers
who are considered more ‘quality’ than other blogs based on their writing or
even just for aesthetic’s sake—-
But better portrayals? That’s opinion.
What is better to one person is not always to another person.
So someone likes my canon portrayal better. Someone will like yours better.
This obsession with better is just, to me, obnoxious.
There are things I think I get better than others, but at the same time there
are things they get better than me. Neither of us is overall better than the
other, and it bothers me to think people might think that.
People do what they do.
You work hard at what you do.
Sometimes people don’t want to play with you and you move on.

But don’t sit and get a superiority complex either.
Don’t start an inferiority complex.
Don’t tell people you’re not playing with people because their portrayal is inferior
and don’t make people think that’s why you’re doing it - which is what this gets
across to me.
